Greetings!
In case you need to hear it—what you do matters.
While it may feel like there is a never-ending need, you are fulfilling basic needs and it makes a difference to each and every one you bless!
Thank you for your service.
July meeting:
Baby Grace will be hosting our next meeting: July 27 at 5:00 pm at 109 S Hudson in Buckner.
Janell Scofield, Assistant Emergency Manager for the city of Independence, will be joining us to share how we can be a positive impact in serving our community when
there is a crisis. Being a vital force for the emergencies she sees on a regular basis, it will be exciting to get plugged into her network!
August 24th Meeting:
Our next partner drive will be collected August24, 5:00 pm for the Abundant Life churches in Independence and Lee’s Summit. They service about 400
families/week and request the following supplies:
Jelly (grape and strawberry are hot items)
Tuna
Cans fruit and vegetables, but fruit is harder to get
SpaghettiOs’s and canned ravioli meals
Soups—chicken noodle is a fave
Boxes of cereal
Cakes mixes with frosting
Brownie mixes
All shelf food staple items and basics like toilet paper will be appreciated.
Janell Scofield invited us to hold our August meeting at Fire Station #1 in Independence, by the Library on 24 Highway. Partners from Abundant Life will be coming to receive your donations. Thank you all for reaching out to your contacts, churches, support groups and neighborhoods to help us work together for the benefit of all.
In the meantime, stay cool!
