AROUND AND ABOUT THE CENTRE PLACE By High Priest Paul J. Gage, of Independence, Missouri
God's Love and Blessings to the wonderful, faithful Saints in Australia,
Well, here we are, already in to a new year and one month gone forever. The Saints in the Centre Place, like those around the world are still dealing with various strains of the virus. Maybe the Saints should truly come together and develop the "Kingdom of God" virus. Sounds funny, but God is waiting on us, or I should say, giving us more time, to develop His love and gospel in our lives and spread it to all those around. That is what the world really needs, GOD'S LOVE. That is the answer to all the problems, illnesses, etc in the world.
As it seemed that life was sort of getting back to "normal" strains of the virus are coming back and causing more problems. We know that nothing is new to God or surprises Him. He knows all things and always has and always will. He continues to work with us in effort to help us get our lives in proper order for His Kingdom That starts with each of us individually then the family, branch, community, and so forth. We must realize, however, that God will not wait forever. He has a plan and it will be carried out on His time schedule.
All Branches in the Centre Place are open for worship. Various activities are in the plans and will be carried out in the next few months as we enter back into camps, retreats, and reunion seasons.
The Conference of Restoration Elders (CRE), Pastors of Zion (POZ) and Pastors of Central Missouri Branches (CMRB) continue to work together on several projects in effort to minister to the Saints. All CRE events are available on the website eldersconferenc.org These three groups sponsored a Priesthood and Men’s Retreat at Oak Grove, MO Branch January 28, 2023.
The CRE sponsored a combined worship service at the Stone Church in Independence on January 7, 2023. The attendance was fair. The ministry was very good. The COC is seemingly in the process of closing the Stone Church mainly for financial reasons.
Center Place Restoration School is doing very well. The enrollment is now at 226 and many good things are happening. Most of the remodeling has been completed.
The missionary groups are still active, but there are still difficulties getting into and out of many countries. Some elders have been to Kenya and other parts of Africa this year.

Vol 5 Chapter 23 Love
Over the years and with the problems that have come upon the Church especially through the 1980s and 1990s love often was a casualty of the Spiritual Warfare that was going on through those years. I fully understand why many felt that way. The very people who were sent to break down the church from within with false doctrines would inevitably towards the end of their services use love against the Lord’s people who held true, by saying that we must love all people according to God’s commandments and if we couldn’t love them unconditionally we were evil ourselves. God’s people became so sick and tired of Love being used against them for treachery, love in some ways became a dirty word through those years here in Australia in the part of the Vineyard where I served. Let’s see what God has to say through inspired scripture.
Romans 13:8 Therefore owe no man anything, but to love one another; for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness not is chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to gratify the lusts thereof.
The importance and power of love have never ceased to be paramount in the lives of God’s people. It is true that evil Men and Women should never have used Love as protection when trying to usher in abominable heresy into Christs Church to lead people away from the truth. However by the same token, God’s people who were trying to hold onto the truths, should never have allowed their love to wax cold so easily. Satan was very successful through those years and remains very successful today if we are not careful.
It is very important to hold onto truth, to cling to the Rod of Iron and not let go. We should never give an inch on our beliefs to anyone, especially if we can see through God’s Holy Spirit that what they are sharing is detrimental to the Church and God’s Sheep. I share these things so you may know of assurity that if you see false doctrine being fed to God’s people from the pulpit or classroom by anyone you have the right and responsibility to bare witness of the truth to all who will listen. Furthermore, if you see anyone share false doctrine and then protect themselves by hiding behind Love. You may know of assurity that they are evil and are messengers of that evil one who is the Father of lies.
I was young in the 80s and 90s and although God opened my eyes to see it happening, didn’t have a full understanding of how to Righteously act, if I am honest even today struggle as I see Evil seeking it’s place in amongst Church people. Satan never ever sleeps. You would remember the parable of the 10 Virgins in the last days, they had all sadly fallen asleep everyone in relation to what they should have been doing. Only those 5 with Oil in their lamps were able to enter the Marriage of the Lamb when the cry went out. The other 5 went out trying to quickly get oil for their lamps but were too late.
Right now there are still people humbly studying their scriptures every chance they get, constantly repenting of their sins and transgressions, seeking to take part in God’s plan of Salvation. These I would liken unto the wise, they are constantly in a state of prayerful preparation. Although living good lives in God’s eyes have a lot of room for improvement and growth.
Then there are others right now who have known the truth of God and have made a covenant like the wise however at some point in their lives ceased to feast upon God’s word and allowed worldly doctrines into their hearts, changing the things of God to the things of Men, giving more honour unto Men and Women then unto the Lord their God. If allowed to go far enough even persecute those who try to hold on to God’s ways.
When the cry goes out all will awake from their slumber both the wise and the foolish, what goes in the favour of the wise is they although not completely measuring up have the word/light of God dwelling in them (oil in their lamps) and are able to repent and
adjust quickly making them eligible to enter the marriage. Unlike them the foolish are not filled with the Holy Ghost, they don’t really know the word of God and will suddenly realise it takes a lifetime of loving God with obedience to be ready and they can’t instantly achieve this and have wasted their lives in foolish endeavours that have no foundation in God.
It is my desire that all who read these words may be numbered amongst the wise, having oil in their lamps.

Psalms 86 V11-13
Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth; unite my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart; and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me; and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
Isaiah 29 V11-14
And it shall come to pass, that the Lord God shall bring forth unto you the words of a book; and they shall be the words of them which have slumbered. And behold, the book shall be sealed; and in the book shall be a revelation from God, from the beginning of the world to the ending thereof.
Wherefore because of the things which are sealed up, the things which are sealed shall not be delivered in the day of the wickedness and abominations of the people. Wherefore, the book shall be kept from them. But the book shall be delivered unto a man, and he shall deliver the words of the book, which are the words of those who have slumbered in the dust; and he shall deliver these words unto another, but the words that are sealed he shall not deliver, neither shall he deliver the book.
3 Nephi 5:1 And now it came to pass that there were a great multitude gathered together, of the people of Nephi, round about the temple which was in the land Bountiful;

21 And the Lord said unto him, I give unto you power that ye shall baptize this people, when I am again ascended into heaven.

24 Verily I say unto you, that whoso repenteth of his sins through your words, and desireth to be baptized in my name, on this wise shall ye baptize them: Behold, ye shall go down and stand in the water, and in my name shall ye baptize them.
