Please read the following Tips and Warning:
BASIC TIPS FOR PARTICIPATING IN A ZOOM SERVICE
Always keep yourself muted until you are called on by the one presiding
When sharing, face the camera directly and at an angle where your face is approximately at the same angle as the camera on your device
Minimize distractive movement and be aware of what can be seen in the background
If you see your picture moving in and out the main frame frequently, please consider if there is something you are doing to make it happen and adjust accordingly
These are worship services, please come prepared and appropriately dressed
WARNING
Dear Saints – We need to make you aware that there is a new phenomenon occurring with zoom meetings called “Zoom-bombing.” This is where someone joins a zoom meeting with the sole intent of disrupting the meeting. It can take the form of the person being very loud and/or sharing undesirable images. We are working on finding ways to minimize the possibility of this happening but cannot guarantee that it won’t. If it happens, we will immediately end the service and resume it within 5 to 10 minutes. If it happens again we will not resume the service. Please pray that our worship together might not be Zoom-bombed.
Due to some challenges being experienced by some Zoom meeting users, Zoom has implemented the following additional security measures. If you are joining the service using a meeting link you will not need to enter in a password.
Dear Valued Customer, (Communication from Zoom)
We’re always striving to deliver you a secure virtual meeting environment. Starting April 5th, we’ve chosen to enable passwords on your meetings and turn on Waiting Rooms by default as additional security enhancements to protect your privacy.
Meeting Passwords Enabled “On”
Going forward, your previously scheduled meetings (including those scheduled via your Personal Meeting ID) will have passwords enabled. If your attendees are joining via a meeting link, there will be no change to their joining experience. For attendees who join meetings by manually entering a Meeting ID, they will need to enter a password to access the meeting.
For attendees joining manually, we highly recommend re-sharing the updated meeting invitation before your workweek begins.
