Sandra
“Sandi” Lee Watts Tompkins, 69, passed away on August 1st 2020, at home
surrounded by family. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday August 14, 2020
at South Crysler Restoration Branch. 16101 E. Salisbury Rd., Independence,
MO 64050 Memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. The graveside
service will be closed. Sandi will be buried at Higginsville veteran cemetery
in Higginsville Missouri. Donations, and condolences may be offered at New
Salem funeral home 1823 North Blue Mills Road Independence Missouri 64058.
She was
the wife of Randon Tompkins. They shared 42 wonderful years together.
Sandi
was born in Vancouver Washington. She was the daughter of Douglas and Faye
Watts. Sandi graduated from the University of Missouri with a Masters of Social
Work. Sandi was self-employed and worked as a marriage, addictions, and
gambling counselor. Sandi earned one of the highest certifications for gambling
counseling in the nation. Sandi loved to challenge herself and never stopped
learning. She is remembered for her funny sayings, common-sense advice, wisdom,
and how much she loved her family, friends, and her Lord. Sandi will be deeply
missed by her family and the many lives she has touched.
Sandi
is survived by her spouse Randon Tomkins, son Fareed Ajami, daughter-in-law
Antoinette Ajami, grandchildren Ashley Jordan, Arianna Jordan, Jazlynn Jordan,
Amani Ajami, son Adrian Tompkins, grandsons Michael Tompkins and Gabriel
Tompkins, and daughter Amy Tompkins as well as siblings Thomas Watts, Christine
King, and Steven Watts. She was preceded in death by her parents Douglas and
Faye Watts and sister Robin Marler.
