Unity Center/IIAW Volunteer Opportunities and Renovation Updates

Hello, Initiative/Unity Center Friends,
August 8, Saturday, 8:00am to 10:30am

Beloveds Meal Prep

Neighborhood Transformation Clean Up Day

Work location: S. Crysler from the Lexington Bridge to 23rd Street. The west side of S. Crysler sidewalks are especially shaggy, but we will work both sides of the avenue.
Needed: Weed whackers, leaf blowers, rakes, shovels, snow scoops, push brooms, pruners, loppers, grabbers for picking up litter, trucks for hauling brush and organics.
Attire: Cool clothing, gloves, hats, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, water bottles,

Location: Unity Center, 803 W. 23rd Street

The Unity Center is making substantial progress on renovations. The Jesus Store ceiling and walls are painted, light fixtures installed. Ready for new flooring and shelving installation. The Jesus Workshop room was purged Tuesday by 10 volunteers from Grace Point Church, God's Bucket Brigade and Team Jesus. TED'S TRASH donated a 20' dumpster and dumping cost.

Team Jesus delivered 52 bikes to Standing Rock Reservation and Turtle Mountain communities. Turtle Mountain leaders reported that the drug houses are gone and no stealing has stopped. Prayers are being answered and a new sense of community has developed in the region. Many testimonies of God's love and power reported. many encounters with believers going and coming home. Team Jesus just returned from Louisiana, reporting that just seeing their signage that Jesus is coming back, is convicting people and they are confessing and repenting of sin.

July 2, 14 Book of Mormon Foundation Interns edged the sidewalk and trimmed trees in front of the Unity Center. Pastor C. grilled lunch for the volunteers. An unexpected treat. He gave a tour of the Center and several interns asked to be added to the Initiative Email list. New volunteers are being added to our numbers every day.

July 4, 30 young LDS missionaries made up the clean up crew to tackle edging sidewalks at S. Crysler Avenue and 23rd Street, and picking up litter from 23rd to 35th Street. Great help!!!

Team Jesus is working on another mobile double showe, That makes three shower blessings for the beloveds.

Thank you all for your wonderful support.
