FASTING, PRAYING, STUDYING, AND LIVING
FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD (ZION)
NOVEMBER 13, 2020
Dearest Brothers and Sisters of the Restoration Faith,
Greetings in the Blessed Name of Jesus Christ,
As you know, for many months this year we have been on a journey of the narrow road. The following is the lyrics of the song
FIND US FAITHFUL by Steve Green
We're pilgrims on the journey Of
the narrow road
And those who've gone before us line the way
Cheering on the faithful, encouraging the weary
Their lives a stirring testament to God's
sustaining grace
Surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses
Let us run the race not only for the prize
But as those who've gone before us
Let us leave to those behind us
The heritage of faithfulness passed on through
godly lives
Chorus:
Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful
May the fire of our devotion light their way
May the footprints that we leave
Lead them to believe
And the lives we live inspire them to obey
Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful
After all our hopes and dreams have come and
gone
And our children sift through all we've left
behind
May the clues that they discover and the
memories they uncover
Become the light that leads them to the road we
each must find.
If you are not familiar with this song you can pull it up on the web and hear it sung.
Some videos come with very stirring scenes to emphasize the lyrics.
The journey of the narrow road, is the road to Zion!
It is times like what the world had been going through for 1-10 months depending on what you identify as the starting point. Our challenge continues to be our effort to stay on "The Old, Old, Path." But, our challenge is the same as it has been for those who accept Jesus as their Savior.
I would like to encourage you to read I, II, III John. Of course we do not know what all lies before us, but we do know WHO is before us, behind us, all around us, and in our midst. It is the GREAT I AM!
Is it time to analyze where we are in the Zionic process? Do you feel any closer to Zion than you did January 1, 2020?
Red the challenge in the responses of:
Adam in Genesis 4:4-10.
Shadrach, Meshach, ans Abednego i Daniel 3:14-18
Paul in Romans 1:116-18
Nephi in I Nephi 1:65
Joseph Smith JR in DC 113:4 a, b
There used to be a sign at Graceland College, in the wrestling room that read: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going!" There is something in track that is called, "Loser's Limp." That is when a person who is not in first place or in close contention, gives up and suddenly starts to limp.
Maybe it is time to re-examine ours-selves.
The following song may be a challenge for us. HERE IS MY LIFE
Lord, you placed me in this world, of time and space and missiles hurled,
With eyes I’ve seen the ghetto gloom,
With ears I’ve heard the sonic boom,
And man cry out for breathing room,
I cannot wait! I cannot wait!
Here is my life, I want to give it. here is my life, I want to live it
Serving my fellow man, Doing the will of God;
Here is my life, Here is my life, Here is my life.
Lord, you asked for all my life, in healing hurts and ending strife,
With mind to always seek the truth, with voice to always speak the truth,
And live to manifest Christ’s worth.
I cannot wait! I cannot wait!
Here is my life, I want to give it. here is my life, I want to live it
Serving my fellow man, Doing the will of God;
Here is my life, Here is my life, Here is my life.
Lord, I give my life to you, my time, my talents, each day new,
With faith to witness to your plan, with hope to gladly take my stand,
And seek to minister to man.
I cannot wait! I cannot wait!
Here is my life, I want to give it. here is my life, I want to live it
Serving my fellow man, Doing the will of God;
Here is my life, Here is my life, Here is my life!
It is our life. We are accountable for how we live it. We cannot credit or blame anyone else, except Jesus Who gives us New Life in Him. Don't forget to read I, II, III John.
God Bless!
Paul Gage
