SEEK TO BRING FORTH AND ESTABLISH MY ZION D&C 12:3a

Dear Saints,

STRUGGLE

If you struggle with understanding the principles of Zion and the operation of Zion, you are probably in a condition that God is pleased with. To invest our minds in investigating and reasoning takes work, and often prolonged struggle—the total engagement of heart, mind and soul that pleases God. To do God’s will despite our past persuasions and present influences is usually an extreme personal struggle.

One struggle in understanding Zion is understanding how it will attract people to it. Will it gather people unto it by feeding and provisioning the masses? Probably not. Consider the ark. “Someone” knew to provision the ark with enough survival necessities and accommodations for exactly eight people. The warning that Noah had preached for decades may have reached all, or the majority of the populace. The message: God will destroy the wicked; the righteous will be saved by hearing, by struggle of soul and mind in ascertaining the truth, by personally leaving behind all un-Godly thoughts and habits, and by investing all of your mental, physical and spiritual self in understanding and obeying the ONE God. Okay, Zion will probably not attract the “pure in heart” to it by feeding and physically sustaining the masses. It WILL attract the pure in heart to it because it is right, because it can only be a reality if lived and operated by celestial principles, attracting people that seek and are even desperate for celestial life and fulfillment in this life.

Similar to the ark, the message of a place of safety and refuge from coming treachery and collapse has been preached now for nineteen decades. But no “ark” has been built and provisioned for the world to see. Where is the church that Christ restored in these last days and commissioned to build a place of safety and refuge, an EXAMPLE to the world, a city on a hill for all to see, a society with all its people dedicating their skills and abilities to Christ and to each other, living out Christ’s love and hope? Is it too much of a struggle? The church that Christ brought into existence to establish the cause of Zion has become one that talks mostly and reasons as to why we CAN’T work to establish it! We probably don’t need another church, but we need individuals to wake up and realize that Christ personally empowers you to accomplish that which he has set in your heart.

Zionworks is simply a group of people with that realization. We all struggle: with our imperfections, with our relationships, with our differing perspectives, and with making Zionic conditions a spiritual and physical reality. But we are dedicated to and focused on God’s love.

Now, we also struggle with lies and rumors being circulated. Shall we quit…give up? Several attempts have been made by others over past decades to live in a Zionic community with varying degrees of success and failure. Are those compromised endeavors a good excuse to quit, to not obey Christ’s directions to give all of our heart, might, mind and strength to the Kingdom?

Zionworks is a means of gathering or linking up people who have the desire and determination to obey Christ’s directions to establish Zionic conditions, to “seek to bring forth and establish my Zion”. They are individuals desiring to live in the love of Christ and in cooperation with each other.

Is Zionworks a new idea? No. Its concepts and the prophesies concerning it and the directives for bringing forth Zion are eternal-- have always existed. For the FACTS about Zionworks, email zionworkz@protonmail.com

You are invited to attend our next meeting, Sunday, July 17th, 2:00 pm in the Huseby’s barn (it’s air conditioned), 38403 E. Truman Rd., Oak Grove, MO. We may be reached at zionworkz@protonmail.com 816-690-8464, 816-824-2436, 816-690-6831 or 816-838-1593. You may bring something to eat/drink before or during the meeting. We will have bottled water. You will need to bring a folding chair. Also, you may bring a practical or unusual item to barter and any show-and-tell item. There is lots of lawn and room for frisbee, etc. for children. We will be deliberating on ways, individually and together, to survive and thrive and to live in Christ’s love. Meetings are informal and all are encouraged to share in desires, ideas and resourcefulness.
