Upcoming IIAW Events - April 24
Good morning, IIAW and Unity Center Friends,
Here are our upcoming activities and volunteer events. Our first one is tonight:
Monday, April 24th 6pm, IIAW Monthly Meeting, Unity Center, 803 W. 23rd Street
We will have committee updates and progress report on the Unity Center renovation.
Thursday, April 27th, 6pm, COLLABORATE EXTENDED HANDS (CEH), Unity Center, (5:30pm Tour of the Unity Center).
This newly formed extension of the IIAW promotes and supports ministries who serve individual and family needs in the community. This month we are offering information and a tour of the Unity Center and collecting needed supplies for the Salvation Army. You can bring donations to the meeting Thursday night, or contact Muriel Luedeman to arrange drop off day and time. The ministry group hosting the next CEH will be announced at Thursday's meeting.
Saturday, April 29th, 8-10am, TEAM JESUS Meal Prep for Beloveds, Unity Center
Volunteers fill gallon plastic bags with lunch items to be taken to camps in the KC and Independence area. TEAM JESUS also prepares a hot meal and shares personal items, the Word of God and prayers with those who receive meals.
Saturday, May 13th, 8-10am, IIAW Neighborhood Clean Up, Unity Center parking lot
If you need help cleaning up a particular area in your neighborhood, reply to this email. We will be helping Paula Swayne and George Thomas at the Mansion House, moving kindling wood. We also are scheduled to clean out a camp at 23rd and Crysler Avenue. Wet conditions have made us postpone this clean up for three months. We hope to get it resolved with the May clean up.
