A NEW LEARNING OPPORTUNITY FOR RESTORATION SAINTS
On October 21, 2023 at 9:00 AM Central Standard Time, there will be a three-hour class opportunity for members of the Restored Gospel. There are several ways that church members will be able to participate in the class identified below.
The lesson being shared at that time is titled, Hearing God’s Voice. This lesson is designed to help church members be more attuned to God’s voice and walk in close communion with him on a daily basis. It is our hope that believers will be better able to abide in Him, through prayer, study, fasting and thus, hearkening to God’s voice. Hearkening means to listen and obey.
The lesson is comprised of four units and is part of a broader Discipleship Course that is being developed. Since this is the first time for sharing this lesson we will be asking for your reaction to the material and approach at the end of each of the four units.
Over the past couple of years, the Priesthood Education Committee of the Conference of Restoration Elders (CRE) has been creating materials that would provide instruction for the priesthood of the Restoration.
It became apparent that our priesthood needed material that could also be used to instruct church members. For example, what is a new member of our church supposed to do once they’ve been baptized? How should that new believer in Christ move toward “sanctification” and learning the spiritual disciplines involved in becoming a disciple of Christ?
With this thought in mind, the Priesthood Education Committee has been working on a Discipleship Course that priesthood can use to instruct the general membership. This Hearing God’s Voice class, is the first completed lesson of the course.
Ways to participate in the class: The lesson will be taught in a class format. Elder Robert Bobbitt, who developed the lesson, will be teaching the class.
Those living in the Centerplace, will be able to attend the class in person at the Church of Jesus Christ, Outreach Restoration Branch. The doors will open at 8:30 AM. Please arrive by 8:45. Parking is available on a limited basis.
Those not able, or choosing not to attend in person, are invited to participate online through Zoom. Please join by 8:45. To participate through Zoom, please use the following link.

Those who attend a Restoration Branch that wish to participate as a group, can do so by setting up accommodations at your branch and accessing the class through the Zoom link already provided. We ask that the group join by 8:45.
