Entering and Exiting the Solemn Assembly

on September 27, 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Lord has invited us to come into His presence.  The Lord is merciful unto us.

We wish to give you some guidance on how the entrance and departure will be handled during the Solemn Assembly.

We liken the entering into the sanctuary as if one is entering into the “Holy of Holies.”

We ask that you refrain from “lightness of speech”, and unnecessary speech.  When needed we ask that you speak concisely and quietly.  We ask that all phones and electronic devices be powered off.

The doors for the public will open at 8:30 AM.  You may proceed to the sanctuary, the balcony, or the gymnasium. By 9:10 we hope that everyone is settled in.  If the building capacity has been reached due to the virus restrictions you will be directed to a satellite location.

Brother Steve Kropp will give you final instructions for the day from the rostrum. The Presiding Team will then enter in and there will be a period of silence for about 10 minutes.

The service will begin at 9:30 AM.

The gymnasium will serve as a holding room.  If someone enters the building after 9:30 they will be asked to go to the gymnasium.  At regular intervals the presiders will invite those in the gymnasium to enter into the sanctuary.  The gymnasium will be hooked up with livestream and zoom to the sanctuary.

If one needs to leave the sanctuary for some reason, (bathroom, etc.) we ask that you not return directly into the sanctuary, but go to the gymnasium, and await the next presider invitation to enter the sanctuary.

This will be an open-ended worship experience which means we do not know how long this service will continue.  We will be led by the Holy Spirit, and the response of the Saints.

If you have special dietary needs, such as caused by diabetes, feel free to partake of something in the gymnasium, and then reenter during the next presider invitation.

You are free to leave the campus anytime.  If you come return, please go to the gymnasium first and wait upon an invitation to reenter the sanctuary.

The presiders (3) and technical support staff are the only ones exempt from going into the gymnasium first.
