AROUND AND ABOUT THE CENTRE PLACE
By High Priest Paul J. Gage, of Independence, Missouri

Our love and greetings to the Lovely Saints in Australia, most things seem to be going pretty well around and about the Centre Place. Nearly all types of facilities, businesses, etc are back to what things were like before covid. However, this may be the “lull before the next storm.” It is possible that the world will never return to “normal,” whatever normal is or was. As always, with the world and people in general, life is almost like a big merry-go-round and many are wanting it to stop, so they can “get off.” There is only one way the world is going to “stop” and people can “get off,” and that is with the return of Jesus Christ in His Glory to establish His Kingdom on the earth.
The Conference of Restoration Elders (CRE) nd Pastors of Zion (POZ) reunion was held June 19-24, 2022 in Independence, Missouri at Center Place Restoration School (CPRS)/Waldo Avenue Restoration Branch.
The theme was: “Take Upon You the Name of Christ, and Run the Race.” Most classes and sermons were live streamed and can be pulled up on the Waldo web site.
Th POZ Summer Series goes from June 12- August 21, 2022. Services are held each Sunday evening at Waldo Avenue Restoration Branch/CPRS
Some missionary efforts rae being made in spite of the lingering conditions of covid. Recent trips have been made to Africa, England, and Germany.
CPRS has concluded its 30th year. It’s history now spans from 1992-2022.
We are now into the full swing of camps, retreats, reunions and various Branch outings. Summer has begun.

God Bless.

RICHES FROM THE SCRIPTURES
By Elder Neil Kerswell, of Queensland, Australia
Vol 5 Chapter 16 - Elijah and Elisha

This time we look at Elijah and Elisha, Elijah had great power through the Lord God almighty and knowledge of this was known abroad. Elisha had obviously had leadings of the Holy Spirit prior, which gave him the understanding that Elijah was going to be taken into heaven soon. I believe God was already leading Elisha to be present at Elijah’s departure so there would be both prophecy and power in the midst of Israel for another generation. Let us read 2 Kings 2:1-25.
[2 Kings 2:1] And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
[2 Kings 2:2] And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said unto him, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth-el.
[2 Kings 2:3] And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head today?
And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
[2 Kings 2:4] And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
[2 Kings 2:5] And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head today? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
[2 Kings 2:6] And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the Lord hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.
[2 Kings 2:7] And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off; and they two stood by Jordan.
[2 Kings 2:8] And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
[2 Kings 2:9] And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
[2 Kings 2:10] And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing; nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
[2 Kings 2:11] And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

[2 Kings 2:12] And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof! And he saw him no more; and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
[2 Kings 2:13] He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan.
[2 Kings 2:14] And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? And when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither; and Elisha went over.
[2 Kings 2:15] And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
[2 Kings 2:16] And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master; lest peradventure the Spirit of the Lord hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.
[2 Kings 2:17] And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.
[2 Kings 2:18] And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?
[2 Kings 2:19] And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth; but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
[2 Kings 2:20] And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.
[2 Kings 2:21] And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the Lord, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence anymore death or barren land.
[2 Kings 2:22] So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
[2 Kings 2:23] And he went up from thence unto Beth-el; and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
[2 Kings 2:24] And he turned back, and looked on them and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
[2 Kings 2:25] And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.
Wasn’t Elisha’s persistence and faith rewarded? He held firm to his determination to not let Elijah out of his sight and the Mantle of Elijah fell to the earth and was taken up and tested

straight away by Elisha. A Mantle was a cape worn to cover someone and protect them from the cold. In this case the Mantle was representative of receiving the right to succeed the former Prophet, or in other words the God given authority and power of a Prophet which once resided in Elijah was through promise given double to Elisha.
This is similar to the authority of Priesthood being bestowed upon a called and accepted individual when being ordained. We are to prepare in heart and mind, having a repentant heart filled with faith when we present ourselves on our ordination day. I hope you have enjoyed reading this scripture and hope that you will be blessed as you consider all the other meanings in this scripture according to your own gifts and abilities from God.

WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE – LOVE & POWER WORKS
By Elder Murray Broughton, Kelvin View Branch, Euroa, Victoria
JAMES 1 V 25-27
...But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, continueth therein he being not a forgetful healer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If anyman among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but decieveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and keep himself unspotted, from the vices of the world.
JAMES 2 V 14-17
.....What profit is it, my brethren, for a man to say he hath faith, and hath not works? Can faith save him.? Yea, a man may say, I will show thee, I have faith without works, but I say show me thy faith by my works. For if a brother or Sister be naked and destitute, and one of you say, Depart in Peace, be warmed and filled, notwithstanding he give not those things which are needful to the body, what profit is your faith unto such? Even so faith, if it have not works is dead, being alone.
Therefore, wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead and cannot save you?
JAMES 2 V 25
For, as the body without the Spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.
REVELATIONS 20 V 12
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened, and another book opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
LUKE 21 V 36
And what I say unto one, I say unto all, Watch ye therefore, and pray always, and keep my
Commandments, that ye may be counted worthy to escape all these things which shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man when he shall come clothed in the glory of his Father.
11 CHRONICLES 7 V 14
If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
MOSIAH 2 v 17
And now, if you believe all these things, see that ye do them.

The Scattered Saints
The Enemy's Perfect Plan ~ Author Unknown

Satan called a worldwide convention. In his opening address to his evil angels, he said, "We can't keep Christians from going to church. We can't keep Christian believers from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. We can't even keep a Christian from conservative values.
But we can do something else. We can keep them from forming an intimate, abiding relationship experience in Christ. If they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken. So let them go to church, let them have their conservative lifestyles, but steal their time, so they can't gain that experience in Jesus Christ. This is what I want you to do, angels.
Distract every Christian from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!"
"How shall we do this?" shouted his angels.
"Keep Christians busy in the nonessentials of life and invent unnumbered schemes to occupy their minds" he answered. "Tempt them to spend, spend, spend then borrow, borrow, borrow.
Convince Christian wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work six or seven days a week, ten to twelve hours a day so they can afford their lifestyles. Keep them from spending time with their children. As their family fragments, soon their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work."
"Overstimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still small voice. Entice them to play on their phones, listen to the radio or digital media whenever they drive, to keep the TV, CD's and their PC's going constantly in their homes. And see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly. This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ."
Fill their coffee tables with magazines and newspapers. Pound their minds with news 24 hours a day. Invade their driving moments with billboards. Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, sweepstakes, mail order catalogues, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering, free products, services and false hopes."
"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive. Have Christians return from their recreation
exhausted, disquieted, and unprepared for the coming week. Don't let them go out in nature to
reflect on God's wonders. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, concerts and movies instead. And when they meet for inspirational, spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences and unsettled emotion."
"Let them be involved in soul-winning. But crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Christ. Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family unity for the good of the cause."

It was quite a convention in the end. And the evil angels went eagerly to their assignments
causing Christians everywhere to get busy, busy, busy and rush here and there.
Has the devil been successful at his schemes? You be the judge.
Let's not allow the enemy to distract us...
