Extended Hands

Extended Hands is an initiative started by an IIAW friend with connections to a director at Community Services League, It is a gathering of churches, ministries, and agencies to address the needs of the homeless in Independence. At the first meeting on February 24th, about 10 groups gathered, introduced themselves and described their work in the area. We decided in March to continue getting better acquainted with each other's locations, specific work, and assess areas where we can work together to be more effective and efficient in our community.

Our next gathering will be Tuesday, March 21th at Lunch Partners, 700 W. Lexington Avenue, from 3pm - 5pm. Below is Saralee Rhoads information on the agenda of the meeting tomorrow.

Opening worship--Dennis Cato, scripture and prayer

Items our moderator (Aaron Brown) will likely introduce for discussion:

How often should we meet?
Are there any endeavors we can initiate together?
We had a great first meeting, and to solidify what we started, let's meet again and get a little more formal. Please indicate if you are coming...see you soon!

March 21, 3-5 pm

Hosted this month by Lunch Partners,
700 W Lexington
