General Conference 2023 APRIL 11 to 15

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

General Conference is fast approaching and I want you to know you are invited to register and have voice and vote at this year's Conference that will convene from April 11th to 15th in Independence, Missouri.

REGISTRATION

MEMBERS - The only requirement to be able to have voice and vote at the General Conference is an authoritative baptism and confirmation. So any baptized and confirmed member of the church who can trace their baptism back to the church that was restored by Joseph Smith Jr., may register as a Member and be granted voice and vote in the General Conference.

Members carry one vote. The Branch President/Pastor or Branch Recorder must confirm that the Member is baptized and confirmed. If the person who is registering as a Member, is not a member of a Restoration Branch that is participating in this year's General Conference, or is not a member of any organized branch, (member at large) that person must provide proof of an authoritative baptism and confirmation.

DELEGATES - Branches may elect delegates to represent the members of their branch. Every branch is entitled to one delegate for being an organized branch. The branch is also entitled to one additional delegate for every 25 members, or portion of 25 members. Example: If a branch has 25 members they would be entitled to 2 delegates. If a branch has 26 members the branch would be entitled to 3 delegates. Each delegate carries 25 votes. The Branch President or Branch Recorder must provide the names of each baptized and confirmed member of the branch to the Conference Recorder.

PROXY DELEGATES - If a branch is unable to send any delegates who are members of their branch to the Conference, the branch can choose to elect a Proxy Delegate. Proxy Delegates can represent more than one branch, but can only carry a total of 100 votes. So a Proxy Delegate could represent one large branch, or maybe 2 small branches.

The Branch President/Pastor or Branch Recorder must inform the General Conference Recorder that the branch has elected delegates or proxy delegates and provide the name(s) of those who were elected. Delegates and Proxy Delegates must be baptized and confirmed members of the church.

Members and Delegates may register for the Conference by sending your delegate and/or member information to the General Conference Recorder, or you can register online at: conferenceofbranches.org

If you have ANY questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at: randy.vick@conferenceofbranches.org Or by text, at 660-441-8440. I very much look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to share this email far and wide!
