Memorial Service for Brother Alma Houston

Brother Alma Houston passed away March 14, at approximately 6:30 a.m.

Please help us celebrate Alma’s life on Saturday March 25, at 10:00 a.m. at the Oak Grove Restoration Branch.

Arrangements have been made thru Speaks and the obituary should be available by the end of this week.

Thank you for your prayers and love that many of you shared with Alma over the years.

Alma James Houston, 78 of Sibley, MO passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his residence. A private graveside service and burial was held in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.

A memorial services will be at Oak Grove Restoration Branch on March 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Alma was born on November 12, 1944 on a farm in Toledo, Iowa the youngest of 4 children to Carl and Marjorie (Hand) Houston. He attended school in a one room school house in the community of Haven, Iowa. He was diagnosed at an early age with cerebral palsy but did not let that slow him down. He was able to help on the family farm and work other jobs throughout his life. He also had a farm Eagleville, MO, Oak Grove, MO and eventually settled in Sibley. He enjoyed gardening, wood working, working outdoors and his favorite color was purple. He was a member of Zion’s Hope Restoration Branch, where he loved to serve as a Priest within the priesthood. He is survived by; a sister, Norma Price of Preston, MO; a first cousin, Alice Schavone of Spearfish, SD and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
