Dorothy Jean Hall – October 6, 1939 – March 17, 2018

Dorothy Jean Hall was born on October 6, 1939, to Doc and Maude Johnson in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. She spent her young adult years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she began to start her family. In 1989 Dorothy and her loving husband Thomas made Independence, Missouri their home.

Dorothy was baptized in the RLDS church at a young age and was a devoted member of South Crysler Restoration Branch where she shared her gift of music as an organist for the church. Dorothy was a devoted woman of God and loved sharing her spiritual knowledge and unwavering faith with all of those around her. Her true passion was her love for the Lord and she was a voracious reader of scripture and good church books.

Dorothy transitioned into eternal rest peacefully on March 17, 2018, with her loved ones at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Doc and Maude Johnson, husband Thomas Hall, son Roger Johnson and daughter Myling Sophia Hall. Sisters Lillian Ware, Alma English, Viola Johnson, and Lovely Pitts. Brothers Daniel Johnson, Edward Johnson, Raleigh Johnson and Leroy Johnson

She leaves those to cherish her precious memory. Daughters: Dorothy (Jose) Garcia of Independence, MO., Thomasine Bennett of Independence, MO. Sons: Alex (Janet) Johnson of Leavenworth, KS., Leon Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO. Andre Hall of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Derek (Judy) Hall of Kansas City, MO. Sisters: Virginia Johnson and Fannie Brown both of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Brother: Paul Johnson of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
