LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD SEPTEMBER 29, 2022

Blessings to the Saints around the World,

As conditions all over the world are different, so the thought of Living in the Kingdom of God may take on a different meaning to each of us. As the Saints go through the daily routine, we are affected by all things around us. The weather, atmosphere, interaction with others, in the family and outside the family, and so forth. Pretty typical for mankind since the Garden of Eden.

In a couple of daily scripture devotionals for this week, encouragement was given to read Mosiah 1- 3. As you know this was part of the scriptural challenge given to his people by King Benjamin. It is as applicable to us today and every day, as it was to that people in 130-124 BC. Perhaps even more vital for us because we are still in our state of probation whereas they have gone on to their reward. Take time soon, to refresh your memory of the words of God as spoken by King Benjamin.

God is the same ____________________

________________, and _______________________.

That scripture is found in Isaiah 29:25, Hebrews 13:8, I Nephi 3:27, 2 Nephi 1:65 and D&C 17:2g.

Since God does not change and we have record as to how He constantly reached out to the House of Israel all through the Old Testament and to the Church as well, all through the New Testament. As He led people away to better lands, He continued to reach out to the Jaredites, Nephites, Lamanites and their descendants. So, would He “change” when it comes down to to the Restoration? I think not!

From 1820 to 2022 God, our loving Father in Heaven, who created each of us and placed us on this earth continues to reach out to us today. Why? Because He loves each one so very much that He came down to earth and lived as we live, suffered and died, and Glory Hallelujah, He lives and wants us to be in His Kingdom when it is fully established on this earth.

So, we are living in a time when God continues to call out to us. He calls through all of our scriptures, through various servants, in addition to the Prophet, through the years. Just to remember a few of them: 1947, Roy Weldon, “Time Is Running Out,” 1957. Earl Curry, “The Endowment,” 1971 Ray Huggett, “Clouds Covering Zion,” 1960-1970’s, “The Creston, Iowa Experience,”1991, Walter Weldon, “Tell My People,” 2018-2020 messages through Patriarch Mike Ballantyne. September 24-25, 2022 in Kirtland Temple.

One of our hymns is “How Firm a Foundation.” The first verse says: “How firm a foundation, Ye Saints of the Lord, Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word; What more can He say than to you He has said, Who unto the Savior for refuge have fled?

The great challenge for each of us, as it has been for all mankind, is to respond quickly and positively to God's commandments. Trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus.

Attached is a Daily Devotional Guide for October 1, 2022 - January 1, 2023. If used by Saints around the world it can create a bond of being together, in spirit, each day.

God Bless
Paul Gage
