Donation Offer for Unity Center
Hello, Unity Center and Initiative Friends,
LIFE 88.5 is offering a free painting job contest on their radio station. Mission Painting and Home Improvement is the donating company. We are often asked how to help the Unity Center. As stated before, the IIAW doesn't do fundraising or accept federal funds or grants. Here is a way you can assist in meeting an important need at the Unity Center. It takes a couple of minutes to fill out the form and write a recommendation of 150 words or less. Write as the Spirit leads.
Here is what I wrote:
The Unity Center of Independence is the home of an alliance of Independence faiths, {IIAW, Independence Is Alive and Well Initiative}, coming together with the goal to love God and love our neighbors, through serving homeless Beloveds, neighborhood families, and widows. We serve 2000 meals monthly, provide monthly medical services, monthly city clean up, organize neighborhood care groups, and identify and assist widows. Unity Center needs a paint job to help renovate the facility for Ruth House, temporary housing and assistance for sex trafficking survivors. The IIAW uses the 501c.3 status of ministry partners, Team Jesus, and God’s Love Ministries who operate at the Unity Center. We rely solely on donations, volunteers, and gifts by individuals, ministries and businesses as the Holy Spirit guides them, We do not fund raise. We do not accept federal funds or grants so that we are free to follow God’s plan as He directs.
