LIVING
IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD, APRIL 21, 2022
Greetings
to the Saints Around the World,
We
hope and trust that everyone had a meaningful Resurrection Sunday and all that
goes with it from a spiritual viewpoint. I’m sure that we are all aware, as we
think of living in the Kingdom of God, that the world, as a whole, is somewhat
off track. That is with every aspect of Jesus Christ, who He is, what He is and
the few years He lived in the Kingdom of God while on the earth and what He
taught.
To the
one person in Mark 12:33-39 who said that there is one God, and there is none
other but him. And to love him with all the heart, and with all the
understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength; and to love
his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices,
JESUS said to him, “Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.”
So, in
our daily lives, in the Kingdom of God, though still in the flesh and the
world, how do we line up with the Scribe, who asked Jesus the question? Jesus
told the man that he was not far from the kingdom of God. Jesus was God in the
flesh. Jesus was the kingdom of God on earth. The man was probably within
six feet of Jesus, so he was not far from the Kingdom of God. Disregarding, for
a moment our modern interpretation of “social distancing,” the masks, vaccines, etc. we might ask ourselves, “How far we from Jesus?
We
know the plan of God, the sacrifice He made in sending Jesus, the sacrifice and
suffering of our Lord and Savior. We know what God expects from each of us, if
we are to have place in His Kingdom when he returns in His Glory. Our daily
challenge, ir-regardless of what others do or don’t do, is to live our lives in
total obedience to all of God’s commandments. Man says it can’t be done.
God says, DO IT! The closer we are to Jesus now means we should be closer when
he returns.
The
following is one of my favorite songs about Jesus. LAMB OF GOD
Your
only Son no sin to hide
But You have sent Him from Your side
To walk upon this guilty sod
And to become the Lamb of God
Your
gift of love they crucified
They laughed and scorned Him as he died
The humble King they named a fraud
And sacrificed the Lamb of God
Oh
Lamb of God, Sweet lamb of God,
I love
the Holy Lamb of God
Oh wash me in His precious Blood,
My
Jesus Christ the Lamb of God
I was
so lost I should have died
But
You have brought me to Your side
To be
led by Your staff and rod
And to be called a lamb of God
Oh
Lamb of God, Sweet lamb of God,
I love
the Holy Lamb of God
Oh wash me in His precious Blood,
My Jesus
Christ the Lamb of God
God
Bless
Paul
