Marian Adeane Boyer, affectionately known as Adeane, peacefully passed away on September 19, 2023, in Lee's Summit, Missouri. She was born on October 10, 1919, in Knoxville, Illinois, to Clyde Albert Witherell and Etta Mae (Dawson) Witherell. Adeane was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many and will be profoundly missed.

Adeane's life was filled with a variety of experiences and accomplishments. After graduating from Galesburg Junior Senior High School, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a train order operator for Railroad Rock Island. Her dedication and hard work were evident throughout her time with the company until her retirement in 1981.

Outside of her professional life, Adeane married the love of her life, William “Bill” Burton Boyer on August 6, 1950.  The two shared many happy years together until Bill’s passing on September 15, 1983.  Adeane cherished the adventures she shared with her beloved husband as they traveled together in their RV.  Additionally, Adeane had a deep passion for reading. She particularly enjoyed Perry Mason and mystery novels, which allowed her to explore fascinating narratives and engage her imagination. Moreover, she was an excellent seamstress who lovingly sewed clothes for her entire family, showcasing her talents and creativity.

One of Adeane's proudest accomplishments was being in charge of distribution for the Mothers in Israel. Through this role, she demonstrated her nurturing spirit and dedication to supporting others.

Adeane's memory will forever be treasured by those who survive her. She is survived by Kevin (Yvette) Witherell and Scott (Denise) Witherell, her nephews whom she cherished dearly. Cassandra (Kris) Nabors, Noah (Caitlyn) Witherell, Aria (Stephen) Larson, Alissa Witherell, Anna Witherell were blessed to have had Adeane as their loving grand-aunt, as well.  Lily Nabors, Arika Nabors, Bo Nabors, were a true joy to their great-grand-aunt. Grace Witherell, her sister-in-law, and Jack Boyer, her brother-in-law, will also hold her close to their hearts.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Bill" Burton Boyer, her parents Clyde and Etta Witherell, and Cecil (Sterling) Witherell and Gale Witherell, her brothers. Though they have passed on before her, their memories will forever be cherished.
