This week’s message is from Howard and Laura Cozart because they have such a refreshingly clear manner of expression.

Our next meeting we will primarily focus on populating the Zionworks’
website. We need all hands on deck. Our mission through the website is to create community and to show love by helping others, while revealing and enacting God’s instructions for making his kingdom on the earth a reality now. The website will be the easiest way for people to get information to achieve those goals.

During the meeting there will be a brief “google docs” lesson for those that aren’t familiar with that platform. Each committee can then start brainstorming for the resources/information that they want to include under their topic. If you have a hotspot (there is no internet at the church), bring a laptop to the meeting. Your committee can develop a shared “google doc” that everyone can read and edit/suggest edits. Once finalized the information can then be shared with Rich so he can populate the website with the information we provide to him. Uncertain times are ahead but we have been given all of the information that we need to thrive, not just survive.

Elder White’s vision of The Redemption of Zion states, “Now all written law ceases on the inside of this ring, but on the outside it shall continue as it is. Now my judgment commences inside of this ring, which is the judgment of the Holy Ghost that no sin may escape.” The testimony of his vision is that the Celestial law will be in effect in Zion while the laws of men continue to govern the world. Zion will be a separate, parallel, society governed by our Heavenly Father. Zion will not be under the jurisdiction and authority of the governments of men. The warning is clear, it will become impossible for God’s people to remain in the Beast’s system. So now the question becomes, “how do we prepare ourselves to live “separately” from the Beast’s system?”

Revelation 18:4 “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues”

Doctrine & Covenants 90:12

“And verily I say unto you, that it is my will that you should hasten to translate my Scriptures, and to obtain a knowledge of history, and of countries, and of kingdoms, of laws of God and man, and all this for the salvation of Zion. Amen.”

CALENDAR

WORK DAY this coming Saturday at Susan and Fred Bass’ place, 1911 E. Truman Rd., Independence. Their place is not easy to find, so call them at 816 256 7765. We will be cutting and stacking firewood and taking home some apples and peaches. Bring leaf rakes, chain saws, buck saws, work gloves etc. The weather has been so pleasant that this is likely to be another of those enjoyable times working together. There are more work days waiting to be scheduled; Blessings green house, canning days, vacuum packing day and other work for people that need some help.

NEXT MEETING: Sunday, Sept. 24 at Central Branch, 919 S. Delaware, Independence, at 2:00 PM. Laura Cozart will conduct the primary business of website population and activation. If we get through the primary business, there will be time for new business and discussion of new ideas. There will be adequate time for special prayer needs and direction by the Holy Spirit. Visiting and bartering, as usual, after adjournment.
