Conference Information 2023
Brethren of the Melchisedec Priesthood
Here we are now less than a day of conference beginning. I hope you are looking forward to it as much as I am. However I am mostly looking forward to seeing the Great things God will do this week. We have a good number of Priesthood participating both online as well as in person Aaronic and Melchizedek. To clarify the times of activities. The times posted are the times here in the Center Place which is an hour earlier than the east cost, 6 hours earlier than the brothers in Nigeria, 7 hours earlier than the brothers in Rwanda and 8 hours earlier than our brothers in Uganda and Kenya. as of Yesterday we had received preregistrations of 157 Priesthood from 5 countries representing 70 branches!
Brethren WE hold the keys to ALL the spiritual blessings of the church! I am specifically requesting you in your ministry to use those keys so that the church might be blessed. perhaps there was another time that may have been equal but I cannot think of a time that there was a greater need for God to pour out his blessings on the church. We have been encouraged to prepare and I trust that you have. Please participate in the entire conference if at all possible. I know our brothers in Africa will be laboring with us through their night so let's unite our hearts together and show God our desire to be one with him. There will be some things that I feel led to share with you after the conference is organized, please brothers either be online or present ready to receive. This year our total focus whither we are in a prayer service, quorums or business session is worship. I was directed to reach out to the High Priest and we have had several meetings regarding the conference and their participation. They will be leading us in worship to begin our day in prayer. This will be an extremely important part of our day, I sure hope you will arrive early and meditate quietly on the things that will be shared with us.
You will be sharing in quorum settings to discuss the several resolutions as Elders. we are anticipating 5-6 quorums. The quorums are always a very special time; you have the opportunity to discuss and reason together as well as pray and see God reason with you. Brothers I am going to ask you to make sure you spend time in prayer together and LISTEN. Listen not only to each other but especially listen to God, He will speak to us. to many times I have thought it was my responsivity to fix the church and save the world. Thankfully we have a savior, and it certainly is not me. Lets really concentrate on listening. Let's be patient with each other and if necessary, even with God. He is very much aware of our situation, and I know he will respond to our every need IF we just come to him in a repentant and humble spirit. Oh how I am looking forward to what is going to take place this week.
