FASTING PRAYING STUDYING AND LIVING MARCH 11 2021

FASTING, PRAYING, STUDYING AND LIVING FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD

MARCH 11, 2021

Hello to the Saints of God Around the World,

Like a good army, we continue our march toward Zion, the Kingdom of God. We have orders (commandments) from our One and Only Chief Captain, Jesus Christ, who, of course, is also our Savior and our God. As we continue our march, by way of fasting, praying, studying, and living as  soldiers qualifying for Celestial Glory, we find ourselves very much in the battles of daily life. Hopefully, each one puts on the whole armor of God as described in Ephesians 6:10-18, every day. Note that verse 11 says, "Put on the whole armor of God." Why? Verse 13 tells us, :Wherefore,
take unto you the whole armor of God." Why? Because we are in a battle for our soul and God won't do it all for us. He has died on the cross.

Put on and take unto you are action phrases. Good soldiers preparing for battle do not depend on someone else, even a best friend or buddy, to get them ready for the fight. Others, of course, may and do help us as we are in this battle together. A good army unit will depend on each other for many things, but in the final inspection, each one must prepare themselves.

No one else can fast, pray, study, or live for you. Yes, at times we can do fasting and prayer on behalf of someone else, but we must take up our own cross and follow Jesus. Often, when maybe on guard duty alone, a soldier may let down some. This can be just as deadly spiritually as physically. Even though we may be a lonely soldier, even isolated, "out on picket," we must guard against, "the least surprise," "For the order is FOREVER to be ready at a word, there must be NO sleeping soldiers in the army of the Lord."

We live in a time of extreme wickedness and evil. Morals, sound doctrines, family values, national and religious allegiance, are fading fast.  The enemy is no longer very subtle. He is in our face challenging us at every turn. Oh, how greatly the world needs Zion!

Don't give in, don't give out, don't give up! God is marshaling His army. Where are you in the lineup? Seemingly, the strongest soldiers are placed on the front line, but when they need help, someone must be ready to step in. It reminds me of the story about an army in battle. Someone has the responsibility of carrying the flag. As soon as that flag bearer goes down, someone else takes the flag and carries it on as a sign to the rest of the army, in essence saying,

"ONWARD, FORWARD, SAINTS TO ZION."

"ONWARD FORWARD SAINTS TO ZION"

"ONWARD FORWARD SAINTS TO ZION"

"OUR ZION MARCHES ON"

"ON TO VICTORY IN JESUS!!"

God bless
