Initiative monthly Meeting March 23rd
Hello, Initiative and Unity Center Friends,
IIAW Initiative Meeting: Tuesday, March 23rd 6:30pm at Bruce and Muriel Luedeman's offices, 2425 S. Crysler Avenue. Please note that the meeting location has changed.
God is opening doors left and right as we continue our Kingdom building efforts. Very encouraging!
Let me know if any of you have something to present at this meeting. Updates, ideas, personal visions of work to do in the community, introduce new visitors, etc.

Jesus Jar Donation - At the January and February meetings, we collected a total of $679 for the Unity Center window installation. Thank you everyone for giving so generously!
NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH:
There are two important ways to impact the community through neighborhood outreach.
1. Prayer teams praying regularly over their neighborhood during good social hours, Saturday mornings, dinner time and early evening hours.
2. Frequent and regular litter pick up, also during advantageous hours.
These are great ways to get to know our neighbors, learn their needs, supply what we can, and connect them to others who can help where we can't. This outreach also helps us, by learning who has what skill, knowledge, and resources that will benefit us, and other neighbors. For instance, last summer, I called on my neighbor across the street about his towing service. I learned by this visit that he doesn't charge his neighbors to tow their car. It's his way of being a good neighbor.
It's all about good consistent communication, establishing a strong neighbor base and beginning to take care of each other, one neighbor, one family at a time. If you have stories of your neighborhood doings and how the rest of us can initiate and improve our efforts, please let me know. It will take us a long way in loving our neighbors, and ourselves.
