ZIONWORKS NEWS AUGUST 10, 2022
IF GOD CHOOSES ANOTHER PEOPLE TO BUILD ZION, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO US?
Is it too late in the game (the progressing and advancing events and fulfilling of prophecy) to honor our personal Zionic commitments to Jesus? To put action to our hopes? Can you or I scramble and get our families safe and fed for the “duration”? Possibly. “There is even now already in store a sufficient, yea even abundance to redeem Zion and establish her waste places, no more to be thrown down, were the churches who call themselves after my name willing to hearken to my voice.” D&C 98:10c. What can we do and what must we do as individuals? We must recognize the signs of the times revealed in prophecy and current events.
Our land is headed for the same devastation as Ukraine and possibly worse: no place of safety, no food, no freedom and no hope. As a result: starvation, violence and warfare in the streets, raids and destruction on our own homes. It’s obvious. It’s eminent. BUT, God gives US the responsibility to build HIS place of safety and refuge by combining our talents and resources. In His time, he will sweep the unrighteous off of the face of this land, but right now this place of safety and refuge for those who do not want to “take up sword (any weapon) against his neighbor” must be established for the obedient saints and those innocents gathering in. The time is now. The urgency is now. Can we work together while abiding by celestial law? The answer is…we simply must. Think about this, imagine this…Is living by celestial law a burden, or is it a joy? God always prepares a way to abide by his commandments. It’s not always easy (requires determination and self-discipline), but it is always rewarding. God is never mediocre – the results of obedience are powerful.
Individuals gathering out from their various situations to cooperate in fulfilling work will make Zion a reality. Zionworks is a growing group of individuals wanting to live out their Call, believing that there is a sufficient abundance of talent and goods to create a sustainable, healthy, righteous community, safe and separate from Babylon. So far, getting programs for safe water, abundant food, sure shelter, ensured health and sanitation is progressing slowly, but with many dedicated people that are determined to make this a reality. Unexpectedly, we have been greatly blessed by the Holy Spirit, growing love for each other, and enthusiasm. Each person is respected, nourished and encouraged.
