ZIONWORKS NEWS FEBRUARY 23, 2023

ZION HOVERING?

Dear saints and all God calls “My People”,

Under God’s instructions, with determined obedience and great personal effort, Enoch brought Zion to reality. The city of Zion thrived under pure celestial principles for three hundred and sixty five years and then was taken up into heaven. It is still up there waiting to come down again when Enoch’s posterity “shall embrace the truth and look upward”. How far above us is it---or how close is it hovering above us? Is it close enough to look up or reach up and grasp it? I dare say that the concept of striving together for the establishment of Zion, this instrument of Zion, was hovering within reach to be grasped as an instrument, itself, for gathering out and coalescing individuals for the endeavor of actual Zion in this day. It was not conceived by man, but it must be manned---populated by individuals wholly committed to Christ’s commission to the church to establish Zion. The church’s vital and overall commission in “all things Kingdom” is undiminished and unchallenged by Zionworks, whose purpose it is to augment the church’s commission from God to “bring forth and establish my Zion”.

“For over fifty years, President Frederick M. Smith , had been pleading with the membership, and the leadership in particular, the urgency to gather; to establish Zion in order to receive the endowment of the Holy Spirit; to witness to the world that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God; that in the New Jerusalem… reigned the Rule of Law of Perfectness; where all were tithed; where all surplus was consecrated to the perfection of the people and the City of Zion and its witness to the world. His entire life was saturated with the ESTABLISHMENT OF ZION.” Gerald Winholtz c. 1982

“Just where it came from, let me repeat, I do not know, but always my faith, my ministry, has been dominated by this idea Zion; and so I have always been disposed to measure the progress of the church by its approach to this GREAT GOAL;… Zion fixes the religious position of this church. IF IT BE THAT ZION IS NOT THE GOAL, THEN THIS CHURCH HAS LITTLE REASON FOR EXISTING…It is the most attractive, the most soul-appealing goal I know of...” Frederick M. Smith

ANNOUNCEMENTS AND EVENTS!

THE WEBSITE!!! The website, www.zionworks.org, is off to a beautiful start, being built by Rich Hincle. Rich is an electronics media master and such, as you can guess, is very busy, but the time that he has been able take building our website reveals his dedication to the Lord and to Zion. It will take time to produce the quality and resourceful website content needed and it will be worth it. If you have quality photos that you have taken that show gorgeous Missouri scenery and Zionic farms, gardens and industries, please submit them for inclusion in the website. Coming soon, also, is the accompanying blog site!

MAKING ZION A REALITY! Hosted by Outreach Restoration Branch. Applying our dreams, energy and resources for the physical and spiritual operation of Zion. This will be a joint effort with Outreach and Zionworks dedicated to revealing Zion’s needs and nature to be met by our working and worshiping in unity under Christ’s direction. This meeting will be at 6:00 pm at Outreach restoration Branch, 723 S. Crysler Ave., Independence. Also, all are invited to attend Outreach’s Old Testament class beginning at 4:30 and/or to bring a light personal meal to eat before the 6:00 event. Zionworks’ usual 2:00 Sunday meeting will not be held, in preference for this joint event.

UPCOMING EVENTS: In our upcoming meetings there will be tips and instructions for gardening and cooperative growing and helps with many off-grid living applications. There are some small stores within a short distance, selling their own produce, etc. that I will check out and report on. I’m anticipating that they will be fun to visit, possibly by car pooling or caravanning. We are also anticipating some talks and instruction from various people that have accomplished various levels of success in their Zionic endeavors. Also looking forward to some field trips. BARTERING: Bring anything to the bartering table at the 2:00 meetings that you think would be useful or intriguing for someone else and see what useful and intriguing things you might find there. This is fun, and it is important for us to practice and learn to think in terms of trade value.

SPECIALISTS AND VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. Though Zionworks is small at this time (and growing) we need teams operating and equipped as much as possible to organize, lead and teach, especially as larger numbers of people recognize the urgency of Zion. People, even now, are beginning to flee from danger and destruction, if they can. Those desirous to abide by Christ’s principles of love need the Kingdom and the Kingdom needs them.

REMEMBER TO STOCK UP WHILE YOU CAN.
