FASTING, PRAYING, STUDYING and LIVING for the KINGDOM OF GOD
OCTOBER 7, 2021
Blessings of the Most High God be upon you, His Children,
I want to share a testimony from the 1970 issue of "Daily Bread." It is entitled, "That Men Might See." Scripture readings are Ephesians 4:1-7 and Philippians 2:15.
To the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul said, "Unto me is this grace given that I should preach the unsearchable riches of Christ and to make all men see." But not to Paul only was this grace given. Not only upon him was laid the responsibility of preaching the unsearchable riches of Christ so that all might see. We share that responsibility as well.
Actually all men may see only when all of us, who have shared in this grace through covenant and commission, also preach, teach, share and live this gospel. We do this only as we live the stewardship way that all those around us see what is meant by the unsearchable riches of Christ.
"Stewardship is the response of my people to the ministry of my Son and is required alike of all those who seek to build the Kingdom..." Doctrine and Covenants 147:5 a.
It is the glowing Spirit of Jesus Christ living in us constantly that witnesses the worth of the gospel. Just as truly as people felt the influence of Jesus when He passed through Samaria, so should those who see us from day to day come to feel that we have heard Him and know that He is indeed the Savior of the world. Why? Because we preach Christ by the radiation of His Spirit as we go about our daily activities.
This is not to say this is an easy thing to do, but it is possible as we continue our spiritual disciplines in preparing for the Kingdom. The miracles of God's grace in richer, fuller measure come to pass in this unrighteous world as we witness daily to the riches o the Savior. We ask that with God's help we may let the Holy Spirit shine from us to others thus revealing the Way of the Christ.
May God bless and keep each of us as we endeavor to live for Him and for His Kingdom.
Paul Gage
