October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is set apart to remember victims of domestic violence.

We labor together to assist and educate faith leaders with the tools to minister to victims of abuse with appropriate research-based information. To minimize the need to educate oneself about this issue places women and children in danger as well as negates the needed ministry for perpetrators.

Below is an invitation from Triumphant Zion Ministries, and J. Abigail Cool in collaboration with interfaithtrustinstitute.com and calledtopeace.org

"For a victim in the pew, being acknowledged from the pulpit or within the congregation breaks the silence, giving her a voice to come forward for help. We are excited to share NEW powerful tools with your church during October, National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). These tools will equip churches with what is needed to help the ONE in three women who have experienced abuse and shepherd and protect their flock from domestic abuse!"

Scripture is clear that God’s heart is for the oppressed and that church leaders are charged with caring well for His sheep (See Ezekiel 34 and Jeremiah 23).

Let us help equip you to do just that, especially during DVAM!

1) Sharing or utilizing the "Pastor's Tool Kit" with your church will help raise awareness, education, and support among your church congregation. https://www.calledtopeace.org/dvam-2021-church-kit

2) Attend a Protect the Flock virtually: October 26, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EDT www.calledtopeace.org/event/protect-the-flock-101-2/

For Zions’s sake, I will not hold my peace.
