Independence Is Alive and Well Initiative Activities and Volunteer Opportunities

Hello, Unity Center and Initiative Friends,

Here are upcoming IIAW events to put on your calendar:

Friday, December 3, 5:30- 8:30pm, Living Windows, Bank of America Building, SE corner of Liberty and Lexington. Ten (10) volunteer singers needed. No rehearsal. Wear white shirts/tops. Robes, music folders, and stools provided for sitting. 3 hour commitment.
Tuesday, December 7, 6:30pm IIAW Monthly Meeting, Unity Center, 803 W. 23rd Street. Team progress reports and updates on recent IIAW events.
Saturday, December 11, 8-10am Meal Prep for Beloveds, Unity Center.
Saturday, December 11, 3:30pm - 6:30pm, Luminaria Assembling and Lighting, Living Hope Church, 2425 S. Crysler Avenue. Bring long, butane fire starters. Bundle up. It's an outdoor activity, but there will be a place to warm up during the assembling process. We will assemble, set, and light luminaria bags along S. Crysler from the Bridge at 608 S. Crysler to 40 Hwy. 2.8 miles. This year we are blessed with volunteers from many churches, and the neighbors on Crysler Avenue. Praying for good weather. Our city can really use this show of solid faith that Independence people have in each other, and share God's gifts at this holy season of love and caring.
