God continues to move in His people. Here are upcoming events and volunteer opportunities:
Tuesday, September 28, 6:30pm, IIAW Monthly Meeting, Unity Center, 803 W. 23rd Street . Topics, U.C. renovation progress, reports from Neighborhood Transformation Team, September 21st Town Hall Meeting Report.
Saturday, October 2, 9:00am, Shower Installation, Maywood Baptist Church, 10505 E. Winner Rd, Skilled volunteers needed to help with this shower installation for the Beloveds.
Saturday, October 2, 8-10am, Meal Prep for Beloveds, Unity Center
Saturday, October 2, 3-6pm, S. Main Street Neighborhood Block Party, Ruby Avenue from Main Street to Osage Street. Food, Music, Art, Team Jesus,K.C., Hands and Feet of Jesus, chalk and bubbles, fire truck, police car, and many ideas on ways to love our neighbors. Bring your picnic food for your family and chairs and join the good time. Pastor Gigi Yates will be our MC for the afternoon. We will have grills and grillers to help cook your meats. We will have drawings for great useful prizes neighbors will bring. We will auction off a wrapped canvas acrylic painting party participants will paint that day.
Saturday, October 9, 8-10am, Neighborhood Clean Up, Unity Center, parking lot. Cleanup location to be announced.
Fri. October 22, 6-9pm and Sat., October 23, 9am - 4pm, Out of the Box Women's Encounter, Empowering and mobilizing women to live from the fire within. Living Hope Church, 2425 S. Crysler Avenue, Free admission, Limited seating, RSVP with Debi Waters at 816-739-5563. Bring a salad ingredient for Saturday lunch.
Fri. & Sat. October 29 & 30, 7am - 7pm, 2 Days of 12 Hours of Prayer, Unity Center. Sister volunteer prayer intercessors needed. Sign up with Muriel Luedeman, contact information below.
