Finding Martin Harris Play This Weekend!
Just a final reminder, The Odessa Restoration Branch is putting on a play this Friday and Saturday evening at 7:00 PM called "Finding Martin Harris."
Finding Martin Harris is an original play presented by the Odessa Restoration Branch High School youth with help from the youth from the New Jerusalem Restoration Branch. Written and directed by Sean Allen with original music composed and performed by Haley Stevenson the play centers on Martin Harris’ involvement in the translation and eventual loss of the original 116 pages of the Book of Mormon. While well intentioned, his zeal to convince his wife and friends of the truth eventually leads to a trial of faith that threatens to destroy everything he holds dear. Finding Martin Harris is a colorful, emotional and inspirational portrayal of one of the most seminal periods of the Restoration. It is our hope that through it’s scenes of adversity, human frailty, and eventual redemption you will gain a deeper appreciation not only for the history of our forefathers, but also the tender mercies of our Heavenly Father.
Please come join us either October 1st or 2nd, Friday or Saturday night to see this remarkable story surrounding the loss of the original 116 pages of the Book of Mormon.
