Hello, Initiative and Unity Center Friends,
Here are our latest volunteer opportunities and upcoming events:
Saturday, September 18:
Meal Prep for Beloveds, 8-10am, Unity Center, 803 W. 23rd Street.
Litter Patrol with Team Jesus, 40Hwy and I-70 Overpass, 10:00am, Unity Center parking lot.
God is GOOD! He is answering our prayers!
Tuesday evening, September 21st,
Town Hall Meeting, Truman Memorial Building, 416 W. Maple, at 6:00pm, to discuss comprehensive redemptive care for our homeless Beloveds to gain self-sufficiency, and various properties that might be developed for that service, i.e. McCune Home for Boys. Several ministries and individuals have been gathering skilled people, businesses, and groups together to meet this need in a creative way. Please continue to pray for a Divine solution to this community matter.
Tuesday, September 28:
IIAW Monthly Meeting, 6:30pm, Unity Center
Saturday, October 2nd, 3-6pm,
Neighborhood Block Party, Ruby Avenue to Osage Street at 626 S. Main Street. Bring picnic food and chairs and join the fun, and fellowship as we celebrate Independence. Grills provided for meat prep, Music, Art, Games, Presenters from YOUNG LIFE, TEAM JESUS, IIAW, and HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS.
