FASTING, PRAYING, STUDYING AND LIVING FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD SEPTEMBER 2, 2021

FASTING, PRAYING, STUDYING AND LIVING FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD

SEPTEMBER 2, 2021

Greetings, in Jesus' Name, to all the Saints Everywhere in the World,

When we engage in various programs, plans, processes, and so forth, for any length of time, it is usually good to stop and take some time to evaluate our efforts. The Apostle Paul in II Corinthians 12:5, says "Examine yourselves, whether ye be n the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? A reprobate is a morally unprincipled person.

Sometimes, even in our best efforts to do what is right, we may falter and need to check our progress or lack thereof so we can re-align ourselves with Jesus. At times, we may be in the depths of doing good, but somehow venture off into those forbidden paths or loosen our hold on the Rod of Iron. Paul, also reminds us in I Corinthians 11:28, "But let a man (person) examine himself and so let him eat of that read and drink of that cup." You can red verses 29-34 for yourself. This is vital at all times, but especially as we approach another opportunity to partake of the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper. This also vital to us even though we may not be close enough to priesthood  to actually share in a Sacrament Service. What is important is the examining of ourselves to be sure we are or would be worth to take the emblems.

As we are now into the ninth month of 2021, it would be good to check our progress of fasting, praying, studying and living for the Kingdom of God to come. I want to invite any of the Saints to share a testimony of how your fasting, praying, studying, and living for the Kingdom has made an impact in your life in the last two years or in your church experience.

Send your testimonies to Paul Gage at pauljg_64055@yahoo.com or 1817 St. Pearl St. Independence, MO. 64055. Include your name and contact information as well as a little bit of your history in the church. We will include some of your testimonies as we continue to encourage the Saints to remain steadfast in Jesus  Christ.

PLEASE do not respond to this email, but separately to me as listed above. Also indicate if your testimony might be considered for the Tidings of Zion which would be decided by the Publication Council.

A Call to Zion, hymn 450 in the 2007 edition of Hymns of the Restoration.

Are you ready, O my people, to have Zion of this day?

Serve your God with all your being, live the Savior's glorious way!

Hold back nothing from my service, let your all be known as mine!

Rich rewards will compensate you, For My Kingdom shall be thine.

God be with each of you in your daily walk

Paul Gage
