Footnotes: The city's appreciation of IIAW efforts is growing. The Lee's Summit/23rd Street CVS is the second store to partner with the IIAW in our neighborhood Clean Up events. Wesley Jackson, S. Crysler/23rd Street CVS Store Manager, was instrumental in making this possible. Mr. Jackson agreed to let us use his dumpsters for our trash bags, and then treated the volunteers to cold drinks from the cooler. He put in a good for us to Denise, Lee's Summit/23rd Street CVS Manager. Please take time to stop in and thank Wes and Denise for their generous support. They are good neighbors. Please pray that we find favor with other CVS stores. It will strengthen and make our service to the community much easier and enjoyable.
Independence's trash problem is growing worse by the day. Independence is not alone in their distress over this issue. It is a plague covering the entire K.C. Metro area. Praise God, many Independence citizens are taking up this cause individually and in groups. We encourage IIAW Friends to pray about volunteering with the IIAW the 2nd Saturday of the month, or organize your own day and time to patrol the city. Many prayerful minds, hands and feet can easily conquer this matter. We are better together than we are alone.
